Maudina Imogene Mitchell, 94, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, passed away Monday, March 16, 2026, at Lakeside Nursing Center in Lake City, Arkansas. She was born November 30, 1931, in Jonesboro to John Washington Gulley and Nevada Ann (Fullington) Gulley.

Maudina was a homemaker and was of the Baptist belief. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially working in her flowerbeds and caring for her yard, which she took great pride in.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 53½ years, Roger Mitchell; five brothers and two sisters; and a great-great granddaughter, Delta Brown.

Survivors include her son, Henry Mitchell and wife Joan; one daughter, Patty Witt and husband Tim; three grandchildren, Joshua Mitchell and wife Candace, Shea Stewart and husband Tony, and Samuel Witt; and five great-grandchildren, Abigail Brown and husband Quade, Jackson Mitchell, Thomas Mitchell, Olivia Stewart, and Carter Stewart.

Services will be announced by the family at a later date.

Arrangements are under the care of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

She was my sister-in-law and she was one.of my favorite in-laws. I wished I could cook as good as her. She was a fun sweet lady and will definitely be missed by all who knew her.
