Olivia Norwood, born December 26, 1937 to Mark Robert Skelton and Clara Skelton in Burdette, AR, passed away March 15, 2026 in Marion, AR.
Olivia loved her family which included her dogs and cats and her church. She worked for Orgill Brothers for 40 years. She was a member of the Holy Cross Episcopal Church in West Memphis, AR since the mid 1950s. She had knitting club and bible study every week as well as having her hair done. She loved to read and lived her life in service to others. We all loved when she cooked lasagna, turkey and dressing (especially her dressing), but most anything.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents Mark and Clara Skelton.
She is survived by her husband John Norwood. Her children; Tony Briggs of West Memphis, AR, Michael Briggs (Timothy) of Galveston, TX, Shari Hicks of Marion, AR, stepdaughter Toy Brewer of West Memphis, AR. Two brothers Max Skelton (Pat) of Atlanta, GA and Ken Skelton (Candy) of Wichita, KS, her four grandchildren Glen, Donnie, Amber, Samantha, and seven great grandchildren, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

I knew Ms Olivia all my life growing up in the Holy Cross Family. She was dear friends with my mother will always be grateful for that. My thoughts and prayers. go out to all of her children and grandchildren as they face the difficult days ahead.

Olivia was such a sweet, caring and giving lady. She always had a smile on her face. My prayers are with her family and Holy Cross friends.

As organist of Holy Cross I can say that Olivia was always a very kind and gracious person who dearly loved God and her church. I personally find it very difficult knowing that her smiling face will not be there to greet me prior to services. My heart felt sympathy goes out to the family.
