Mary Lavada Hall passed away Friday, February 27, 2026, in Harrisburg, Arkansas at the home that she shared with Greg and Debby Bornhoft. She was 95 years old. She was born to Lewis and Leanor Counce on August 19, 1930, in Adams, Tennessee.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband James Edward Hall and two sons, Ronnie and Douglas Hall.
Lavada was born in Tennessee and moved to Arkansas. She married Ed Hall and they had 14 children. She once said that she did not want any of her children to think she loved one any more than the other. She loved us all and we felt it. She loved her flower garden and worked in it every day the weather permitted. She loved her Church and was famous for her ''mounds cake''. She was a good friend and devoted wife and mother. She loved to travel and shared all her talent for sewing, canning and cooking with everyone. She volunteered at the Orpheum Theater in Memphis and enjoyed all the plays that came through.
She is survived by 12 children. Margie Sutton of Wildwood, Florida; Carolyn Justus of Horseshoe Lake, Arkansas; Sharon Britt and Darlene Kellews of Bradford, Arkansas; Jerry Hall. David Hall, Roy Hall, and Robert Hall of Tyronza, Arkansas; Debby Bornhoft of Harrisburg, Arkansas and Vivian McKinney of Boliver, Tennessee as well as 33 grandchildren and 58 great grandchildren.
