of Greenbrier, AR
April 28, 1929 - February 24, 2026
Charlene Elizebeth Benson, 96, of Greenbrier, Arkansas went to her heavenly home, on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. She was born April 28, 1929, in Earl, Arkansas to the late Charles and Pearl Lamb.
Charlene was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Benson; her two children, Timothy Benson and Karie Clement, and four sisters, Velma, Beulah, Ethel, and Mary Ellen.
Charlene, better known as ''Granny Benson'', lived her life surrounded by family and friends and spent her time traveling and making memories with her husband Wayne, her children, and grandchildren. She accomplished her dream of visiting all 50 states in 2018 when she and Jordan visited Hawaii on a cruise. She spent the majority of her life as a homemaker but also worked at a variety of places including the General Electric factory in Memphis and the dime store. Her and Wayne were known to just pick up and leave on a weekend trip on a moment's notice. She lived a beautiful life full of love but most of all faith, Granny was a true woman of God and made sure she passed the gospel on to anyone she came across.
Left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Jordan Benson (Tiffany), Hali Clement, Lindsey LaRue (Keith), and Ashley Clement (Tim); great grandchildren, Kyrstin, Austin, Kali, Hunter, Zoe, Rachel, Ty'Runn and many nieces, nephews, friends, and family members.
There will be a visitation on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 6-8pm at Roller McNutt funeral home in Conway, Arkansas. Funeral services will be at 2pm, on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Trinity Faith Tabernacle in Greenbrier, Arkansas with Drew Foster officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Valley cemetery in Wooster.
Pallbearers and Honorary pallbearers are members of the Clinton YellowJacket Football team.

Jordan and entire family please know we grieve with you at this time
Granny was such a great neighbor and friend, she was so loving to me. She had such a joy and spread it in my life. She served the Lord with her whole heart everyday not just certain days.
Jordan I use to watch you out shooting hoops with your basketball. You have grown up to be a great young man. Granny loved you and was so very proud of you and your accomplishments.
Please know we are praying for you all and asking Jesus to surround you with His peace and comfort.
Drop by the house anytime so we can share wonderful memories of the best Granny in Greenbrier.
Love and peace,
Hal and Deb Garrett

We attended church with Mom Benson, and loved her dearly. We are praying for all of you, know she is missed already. But she is shouting Hallelujah to her Lord and Savior on the streets of gold. God bless you all.

There is shouting in heaven today for Mrs. Benson has come home! She was a beautiful lady inside and out, and I will miss her. So thankful God allowed me to be a part of her life. She had a huge heart, and loved her family and her friends. Jordan, my thoughts and prayers for you and the family during this time.

I am so glad to have known Granny Benson. She was a light and joy for me. Praying for all of you and your hearts. She was 1 in a million and I know she will be missed.

Our thoughts and prayers for the family. God be with all of you. I know she will be greatly missed, but her race has now been run. Love to you.
