Sandy Earl JollyI am a Veteran.

of Greenbrier, AR

June 14, 1943 - March 15, 2026

Sandy Earl Jolly, father, farmer, and devoted patriarch, passed away on Sunday evening surrounded by his loving family. Born in the Greenbrier area on the family's Century Farm that was established in 1857. Sandy was a strong willed and hardworking man with a great capacity of immense generosity, patience, and kindness! Despite a farming accident that prevented him from physically doing what he loved, which was farming, Sandy and wife Cathy built a successful and thriving dairy business together that expanded, even after Sandy's farming accident 30 years ago. Sandy was unstoppable in mind and spirit, and he did not quit until the job at hand was accomplished. Because of Sandy's unflappable ability to overcome the most difficult of situations, he was and is an inspiration to those who knew him.

Sandy required 24-hour health care, but he refused to give up or let his injury stop him. He was able to live at home and successfully direct and participate in the success of his farm because of the outstanding care that he received over the past 30 years from several dedicated aides. For the past eight years, Sandy received loving care from one special angel, Summer DeHart. In 2008 the Sandy Jolly Farm was recognized as the Faulkner County Farm family of the year because of Sandy and Cathy's hard work and dedication.

As the oldest of four brothers and one sister, Sandy farmed his entire life. Sandy graduated in 1961 as the salutatorian from Greenbrier High School. He was active in Future Farmers of America and served in the Army Reserves.

Sandy is survived by his wife of 42 years, Cathy (Kitts) Jolly; daughter and son-in-law, Marilee and Eduardo Mendoza; daughter and son-in-law, Mandy and Kevin Hare; and daughter Jennifer Barber. Grandchildren Miranda Mendoza, Ryan Rose Young, Hattie Mendoza, Emma Mendoza, Silas Mendoza, Spencer Hare, Andrew Hare, Hudson Hare, Ashlyn Hare, Jackson Hare, Dylan Barber, Katie Roxas, Jay Barber, and several great grandchildren.

He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law Jim and Pam Jolly; and his sister and brother-in-law, Teresa and Philip Golden. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Sandy was preceded in death by his parents, Doyle and Grace Jolly; brothers Hal Jolly and Don Jolly.
