Linnie Ruth Cagle AshtonNovember 15, 1965 - March 13, 2026
Linnie Ruth Cagle Ashton, 60, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026, surrounded by the love of her three daughters.
Linnie was born on November 15, 1965, in Harbor City, California, to Robert and Judy (Butler) Cagle. She spent her early years growing up in Southern California where she enjoyed the sunshine, trips to the beach, and helping care for her younger siblings. During her school years she was a majorette and developed the vibrant spirit that would stay with her throughout her life.
In 1997, Linnie moved to Arkansas, where she built a life centered around family and raising her daughters. She worked over the years at Martin Dingman, American Stitchco, Ahren's Clinic, and UPS, but the role she cherished most was being a homemaker and mother. She was a dedicated parent who volunteered at her daughters' schools, helped with projects and parties, and never missed a ball game or activity, always cheering them on with pride.
Linnie had a free spirit and a love for life. A self-described hippie at heart, she loved the outdoors, whether it was swimming, laying out in the sun, riding motorcycles, or attending concerts. She was a passionate music lover whose favorites included Bon Jovi, the Eagles, Sugarland, and Kid Rock. She also had a love for fashion and shopping, and was well known for her collection of shoes. She adored her loyal fur companion, Ace.
Above all, Linnie loved her family. Her daughters and their families were her whole world, and she treasured every moment spent with her granddaughters and great-grandsons. Being a mom was the role she loved more than anything in the world.
Linnie was a deeply spiritual person who believed that everything happens for a reason. She also had a fascination with astrology and often found meaning and comfort in the stars.
She is survived by her three daughters, Candice Sosnowy (Chris), Chelsey Johnson, and Carson Ashton-Allen (Nick); four granddaughters, Summer, Bailea, Charlotte, and Airo; two great-grandsons, Stetson and Sterling; and her siblings, Bobby, Billy, and Renee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Judy Cagle.
Linnie will be remembered for her loving heart, her vibrant spirit, and the deep devotion she had for her family. Her memory will live on through all those who loved her.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Roller-Burns Funeral Home, 725 N. Panther Ave., Yellville, Arkansas. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM, with interment to follow at Peel Cemetery.
