Mr. Gustav Lorenz, 95, of Lakeview, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2026, in Florida. He was born in Germany on April 16, 1930. He was married to Katharina ''Kay'' (Berge) Lorenz for 50 years and was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Gustav started life hard, escaping a Russian prison camp at the age of 11. As his life went on, he became a United States citizen, of which he was very proud. He had several interests: fishing, hunting, being outdoors, German cuisine (and his sweets), and carpentry work. His biggest interest, though, was a good party, music, and ballroom dancing, because that is where he met Kay in Chicago and swept her off her feet. He was a hard-working, dedicated maintenance supervisor at a boat factory in Chicago and could fix almost anything. Most of all, he was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Gustav is survived by two children: Kevin Lorenz (Terri) and Diana Sims Lorenz (Alex); two grandchildren: Megan Wiggins (Judah) and Tyler Lorenz; and one great-grandchild: Wade Dallas Wiggins. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and siblings.

A visitation will be held between 3-6:00pm on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Roller Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 12:00pm on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Baxter Memorial Gardens.
