Jeff was born in Hinsdale, IL, on Thursday, February 21st, 1957, to Arthur and Teddy Litchfield, the third of four sons: Arthur Jr, Steven, Jeff, and David. The family moved to New York before settling down in St. Louis, MO.

In St. Louis, Jeff met his future wife, Carrie. They were married on Saturday, August 23rd, 1980, in a ceremony at the home of Carrie's mother and father, Don and Dorie Reed. Jeff attended the University of Missouri St. Louis, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in chemistry. He and Carrie have three sons: Michael, Andy, and Kevin, and three grandchildren: Amelia, Theo, and Mary Alaina.

Jeff was a quality control manager for most of his career, and he also spent time tutoring students in math and science. After retirement, Jeff devoted his time to pursuing his passions. These included bonsai artistry, history, baking, playing golf, playing with his beloved dogs Sophie and Cosmo, and coaching soccer for his son's teams. He was also an avid fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks, and he enjoyed watching them play both basketball and football with his wife and sons.

His quiet strength, intelligence, endless patience, sense of humor, and his passion for his family and friends will be lovingly remembered by all who were lucky enough to know him. He passed on March 8th, 2026, surrounded by his wife and three sons.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church on Saturday, March 21st, from Noon to 3:00pm. The address of the church is 2403 McArthur Dr, Jacksonville, AR, 72076.
