J.C. Davis
of Quitman, AR
September 9, 1933 - March 3, 2026
J.C. Davis, 92, of Quitman, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on March 3, 2026. He was the son of the late Joe and Nettie Gibbons Davis. J.C. loved God, his family and friends, his pets, but especially children. He kept his pockets full of candy for them at church. J.C. served in the 101st Airborne Division on the 508th Airborne Combat team. He served as sergeant first class and had a 155mm howitzer regiment attached to him. J.C. worked at Bowman Boat Factory, Little Rock Furniture, Colony Furniture, Red Ball Motor Freight and Consolidated Freight Company; and retired as a Cattle Farmer. He was talented in both his upholstery and wood working. J.C. was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed hunting and fishing. J.C. was a member of Holland Lodge No.158 for 69 years and a Master Mason.
J.C. was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Marva Lou Kennedy Davis, parents, siblings, Harrison, Walter, Hattie Short, Lester, Garner, Bertie Phillips, Mae Phillips and Lucille Banks.
He is survived by his two children, Mona O'Kelley and Kenny (Darla) Davis, four grandchildren, Danielle (Ben) Severs, Chad (Haylee) O'Kelley, Kayla Davis, and Aaron (Katie) Davis, seven great-grandchildren, Ethan, Elijah, Everett, Landree, Lawson, Mila, and Ellie, and many more nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, March 6, 2026, from 6:00-8:00PM at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier, Arkansas.
Funeral Service will begin at 1:00PM Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Christ Alive Church at Damascus with Burial following at Fairbanks Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dale Green, Aaron Davis, Joe Thompson, Chad O'Kelley, Ethan Severs and Tina Maynard.
