Sally Lenggenhager Blewett

of Little Rock, AR

March 21, 1946 - May 18, 2025

Sally Jane Lenggenhager Blewett, a life-long resident of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away May 18, 2025, in The Villages, Florida. She was 79. Sally was born on March 21, 1946, to Dorothy Jane Harpham Lenggenhager and Carl Henry Lenggenhager. With her arrival, she joined older sister Mary Ellen, completing their joyful and close-knit family.

A proud graduate of Hall High School, Sally embraced life with energy and optimism. She loved to share with others that she was the only girl in the drafting class at the time. Her love of geography became a love of travel as she built a remarkable career spanning 30 plus years at Poe Travel while nurturing her passion for exploring the world. She loved discovering new places, meeting new people, and sharing those experiences with others.

Sally was a wonderful seamstress and could pretty much create anything. For years she made Halloween costumes for her children, beautiful draperies and bed linens for friends and loved ones, and one-of-a-kind handbags that she would sell, or even gift to people who showed an interest. She created amazing table centerpieces and decorations for weddings and parties that everyone just knew were ''professionally'' created.

Sally could draw you in with her vibrant personality, stories of food and travel, her infectious laugh and her big heart. She was so much fun to be around and always ready for an adventure - ven appearing on Wheel of Fortune one memorable day and buying a set of golf clubs, a Tiffany's gift certificate, and other fun items with her winnings.

Most of all, Sally cherished her family. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a proud grandmother, and a loyal friend.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Timothy Blewett and their children, Carl Standiford ''Stan'' Blewett, and Anne Noall Ansley and husband Steve; as well as her grandchildren, Carson Cole Ansley and Emma Kathryn Ansley, who brought her endless joy.

She also leaves behind her extended family: Richard Stubbe, John Stubbe, Ellen Stubbe Kester and husband Steve; Martha Blewett Clark and partner Debe; Stephen Blewett and wife Margaret; Jane Blewett Velasco and husband Pablo; Don Clark; Donald Clark, Daryl Clark, Emily Adams, Stephen Blewett, Patrick Blewett, Ana Velasco Lambert, Katherine Smith; and her best friend Diane Yaunches. She was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy, father Carl, and her sister Mary Ellen.

A celebration of Sally's life will be held on what would have been her 80th birthday, at 1pm March 21, 2026, at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home in Little Rock, Arkansas.
